Planet: Crystalia Region: Outer Rim Planet Type: 95% Water, 5% Land Population: 25 million humans, 50 million Mon Calamari Capital City: Gemali The beautiful water world of Crystalia is made up of two small continents and a massive number of smaller islands. The land is predominantly rainforested with few large animals. The ocean contains 4 major Mon Calamari cities. There are two major cities on land, Gemali and Forbellia, one on each continent. In the ancient past the humans who lived on the continents warred with one another. They were brought to the negotiating table by a threat of mutual destruction at the hands of the Mon Calamari who had colonized the world's ocean. Since that peace was established there have been 500 years of relative peace. The three Mon Calamari cities are a central hub of commerce for the region with the bounty of the sea raking in huge profits for honest businessmen. When a massive vein of Glesser Crystals were discovered 20 years ago a less savory type of businessmen moved in. Although the crystals had been in small use since the first colonists arrived (the planet is named after them) it wasn't until the "Crystal Boom" that Crystalia became an economic power. The crystal is used in many large industry projects and in fuel rods for giant lasers and cutters. Eventually a large crystal would be used on two Death Stars. A spaceport was established in Gemali and it became the capital city of the planet.
